Stone Quarrier and supplier of "Chief Cliff" stone

Anderson Stone was born from a need for quality natural stone product by our founding company, Anderson Masonry Inc.
We often needed to quarry rock specific to a customers project. One example of this is the restoration of Going to the Sun highway in Glacier National Park. This project necessitated that we find a geologically matched stone that would meet the standards of this historically significant roadway.

Another project lead us to our current quarry site for Chief Cliff stone and since production has outpaced that customers’ demand, we are now offering this beautiful stone product to the wholesale market.
Anderson Stone has the financial resources, experience and expertise to handle the most elaborate and unique project your customers may envision.

Natural horizontal and vertical lines running through Chief Cliff stone give it a geometric quality.

Thin Veneer Chief Cliff Stone:

Chief Cliff stone is also available as a thin veneer product. Anderson Stone uses special tools to cut the faces off full thickness wall stone, thus reducing the overall weight and dimension of the rock. Thin veneer retains a natural uncut side but the cut side can be applied to surfaces without requiring the engineering to support the weight of full size stone. On average it is about 70 percent lighter than full size stone giving builders or homeowners the option of upgrading to stone facings especially on second floor projects. Every facet, from hauling the rock to the distributors, to delivery on the jobsite to carrying and laying it up on the walls is less expensive sometimes as much as 30 percent over full stone product.

  • Available in ¾- to 1 1/4” or 2” to 3” thickness
  • We cut the faces off full thickness ledge to maintain the appearance and pattern of full thickness stone. We do not cut ‘waste’ rock

SHIPPING
Anderson Stone offers job site delivery of our products in Northwest Montana. We do not arrange delivery of our products for wholesale customers in an attempt to protect their business interests with their customers. This allows our wholesalers to ship directly to a job site without compromising the efforts they've invested in the sale.

“I am eager for new challenges and to build lasting relationships with new partners in the stone trade,” says Robert.
